This newsletter is not for the geopolitical foreign policy experts, but for everyone trying to decipher the bombardment of the news cycle and social media and for those looking for something beyond the headlines.

WARCORE will cover different angels and offer short situational updates and analysis, on the ground reports, personal opinions, interviews, longer articles, and much more on different conflicts and stories as seen fit.

WARCORE is a one-man operation by me Martin Tamm Andersen. I am a former Danish soldier now working as a documentarian. I started my career as a private in the infantry. 18 years later I retired at the rank of Captain, with deployments to Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. Since I have worked as a security advisor and hostage negotiator and now as a documentary filmmaker, writer and podcast host. In all my adult life, my work has revolved around war. I have had the privilege to make films from the places I fought as a soldier and to go where most don’t. My work still takes me to conflict areas around the world and parts of this newsletter will be about what I encounter on some of my work trips.

With WARCORE I will try to pass information and cut to the point of what is happening out here. Some editions might be short and clear while others might be about more obscure things that I have taken an interest in. First and foremost, I will try and give you something you won’t get anywhere else.
